How long did it take?

Before you were back to "normal" as far as your emotions go after having a baby? This includes sexual drive.. Might be TMI, but I thought I was back to normal because a couple weeks ago I was totally into the affection again and things were going GREAT but when I got my first PP period I just kinda reverted back to hating all this physical; sex, kisses, hugs, anything. It's been over now for about 4-5 days and I still feel this way. I'm just wondering, will I EVER be normal again or will I just go into heat once a month and the rest of the time not want any kind of contact at all? (lol...) My husband really gets down on himself and feels unloved because I can't seem to act like a wife anymore, sexual or non. This really can't be how it will be from now on Advice? Stories? Compassion?

ive been wondeing the same thing like how long after bub arrives will our sex life go back to the 'norm' lol
coz seriously i really hate sex while im pregnant i just cant enoy it and i feel very uncomfy about it.
plus im really worried tht sex will hurt after birth...

Have you been feeling any better Melinda?? I just thought I'd update, I actually do! Sex is much more a regular thing these days, or at least not so dreaded. We're still adjusting, it's only been 3 months since she was born but day by day things get better and better!

It took us honestly 5 months for me to get back on track. I have really horrible PPD and I'm on Zoloft for it, I admit, that the meds do help ALOT...but things could be better.

I could go months not having sex.We had sex a MAX of 4-6 times while I was pregnant.And even after I was ok'd by my OB/Gyn to have sex after the baby was born, I still didn't want it.Now, 5 months later I can stand to have sex every few days.

I felt SO SO SO bad for Waleed, he also felt sooo unloved and was sad.But things are getting better.

I don't feel bad when guys feel unloved because they just aren't getting any.. I feel like I convey my feelings well enough in other ways and they need to see that, kwim?? (Know what I mean, just in case you don't know what that stands for.)

I understand what you mean,totally. But Waleed and I had sex like rabbits before the baby came lol.And then all of the sudden it was like when I got pregnant, WHAM, no sex drive.

You're speaking my language. I hate looking at older pics of myself it drives me nuts. I do all that I can too which breaks my fat little heart
