I definately am.
i could never do natural..contractions will be painful enough while i still have them..so epidural is my friend I want the pain to be numbed as much and as soon as possible.
what are you going to do? natural birth? or..?
i had an emergency c section with arron and instead of a epi i got a spinal block which lasts much longer and i think is alot better it dont wear off as fast, with henry jr i had a repeat c section and had another spinal block. i would have had a vbac but that isnt an opition wit the hossy that i went to and reason being is because it could kill mother and child or just one it weakens the uterus they said other wise i would have had or at least tired to have one of those

Re: epidural yes or no for you?
Good for you Jami! A little activity after a c-section (Or anything really) is great to help recovery. I'm glad you took charge on that one! I'm sorry you couldn't have your VBAC though
Maybe a next time?
LOL
Oh and Alyssa you just go back to that website and make a new one, only you do the countdown for her first birthday instead. If that website won't let you do that one then try lilypie.com they have them!

Oh hehe you answered the question I asked about your doc in another thread! I understand, I've never had a real doctor that I was ever close to, I've just always saw whoever and gotten what I needed and that was that.

Re: epidural yes or no for you?
Im so afraid to have a natural birth but i have people telling me to try and avoid an epidural because of their experiences i have a really low pain tolerance and am afraid that it will hurt way to bad but im considering getting a spinal block instead of an epidural but i idk for sure HELP!

I wouldn't base my choices off of other people's successes or failures, I would just research as much as I could and make my own decision. If you listen to their failures then you're doing something out of fear and if you listen to their successes then you're just not being educated, and both can do more harm than good.
You'd be surprised what kind of pain you can tolerate when it comes down to it! Really..
I was soo prepared for a wonderful natural childbirth experience and did not get it. I ended up begging for the intrathecal (no epidural on Maui!) at 8cm and by 10cm it wore off and I had to push.. so it was useless for me. I made it through both stages of labor and birth without drugs with just a 2 hour nap in the middle, and looking back I realize that I could have done without it all together. Those two measly hours didn't mean anything in the big scheme of things. And honestly the best part about labor is that it DOES NOT LAST FOREVER. That's what I thought about the entire time, that this will be over by tonight, I will have my baby girl, and everything will have been worth it and awesome once she's here.
I'm kind of rambling now but I hope that makes sense lol
